Job Position: Project Manager – Level IV - Project Manager 2

Skills: Description of Duties: Awareness of generally accepted security standards and best practices (NIST, PCI, DSS). A general technical knowledge of security and IT related technologies (e.g. Windows, OS, Active Directory, SQL, anti-virus, web filtering, event logging, encryption, network design, firewall administration, intrusion prevention, etc.). Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in verbal, written and electronic form. Ability to manage a team at the project level; strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office with an emphasis on Outlook, Word, Excel and Access. Actively participate in incident response planning as well as the investigation of security breaches as necessary. Assists in identifying, reporting and remediating security risks and vulnerabilities (e.g. review the results for security vulnerability scanning tools, coordinate the installation of security patches and 3rd party application upgrades, monitor the status of anti-virus controls, etc. Successfully work on multiple projects at one time. Supervisory Responsibilities/Direct Reports: Direct reports will be Information Security Analysts including but not limited to full time and contractor staff Difficulty of Work: Ability to work and protect the agency in a large, fast-paced, and highly scalable environment successfully Responsibility: Must protect the agency data, network, and infrastructure by bringing security to the forefront in order to receive support from the CIO and other approved agency executive staff Personal Work Relationships: Must have ability to interact with all employees in the Information Technology Department, BMV Business Units, other state agencies and selected vendors outside the BMV Physical Effort: Sitting at a desk, attending meetings, working and coordinating with co-workers. Working Conditions: Professional office environment, dedicated work space and computer.

Experience Required:

• A minimum of 10 years expertise in information security (infrastructure as well as software)

• Two years managing an information security team

• An industry-recognized certification in security

• Advanced experience with software and security architectures

• Understanding of advanced security protocols and standards.

• Advanced working experience with intrusion detection systems

WBMV is looking for a Information Security Officer for a 6 month assignment with possible extension. -Bachelor's Degree is REQUIRED. -Advanced T-SQL and Microsoft Office experience of 5-7 years Onsite interviews are REQUIRED for this position. BMV has a lengthy onboarding process which includes fingerprinting. Please ensure that you candidates are aware. Purpose of Position/Summary: To serve as a senior-level executive for the IT department as well as the agency by assisting with developing, implementing and maintaining the vision, strategic strategy and asset management program to ensure data is protested utilizing current and future best practices. Essential Duties/Responsibilities: • Develop BMV security policies, standards and procedures in coordination with the Indiana Office of Technology (IOT). • Work with Indiana State Board of Accounts (SBA) on all audits. • Assist in the dissemination of information security policies, standards and procedures to BMV personnel. • Review the development, testing and implementation of security plans, products, controls and encryption techniques. • In conjunction with IOT: study the proliferation of viruses; prevent hacker intrusion; conduct active penetration tests; discover vulnerabilities in BMV information systems. • Oversee incident response planning as well as the investigation of security breaches, and assist with disciplinary and legal matters associated with such breaches as necessary. • Oversee user security for BMV applications. • Partner with internal security and audit: o Monitoring internal control systems to ensure that appropriate information access levels and security clearances are maintained. o Providing information security training to all employees, contractors, and other third parties. • Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP) preferred.
